so Who is petrina turner?

Petrina Turner is the curious, compassionate and multi-passionate creative behind Petrina Turner Design.

Petrina has 30 years of experience across residential, retail and commercial interior design and styling, and holds an Associate Diploma of Architectural Drafting, a Diploma of Interior Design & Decorating, a Bachelor of Design Arts (Interior Design), and a lifetime of professional development.

Sketching and model making enable Petrina to conceptualise and explore shape, form and human touch in the development of her projects. She is also a digital design whiz resulting in clear and detailed design documentation and implementation.

Creative success began as a design student when Petrina won the national HPM Industries Award for Excellence in Design, and upon graduating was awarded Best Overall Student. Over her 30 year career many of her projects have been published.

Her early memories are of home, large family gatherings, sharing stories over a meal, and witnessing the entrepreneurial spirit of her mum. They inform Petrina’s values, and work practice.

Petrina believes our wellbeing is intimately tied to the spaces we immerse ourselves in, and brings her extensive knowledge and experience to create with exceptional detail, care, joy… and a little of the unexpected.

Petrina is passionate about giving back where she can. This includes her ongoing support and pro bono work for the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC), where she has donated her time to assist them with interior design and styling of their Home of Hope in Footscray, Innovation Hub and award winning Food Justice Truck.

Petrina is also an over sharer, and can be found as a speaker at design events, contributor to interior media publications, and educator in design & styling.

She might also be a not-so-secret tap dancer in her spare time.
